IGOTSHOT is Campos Viola's platform for event photography and cultural reportage. It documents local festivals, cultural projects and community traditions in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck and Greater Munich. The hub currently brings together 26 event reports and long-term documentary projects with 5,356 images in total. Of these, 4,623 images are held in 14 centrally configured, freely accessible photo galleries; further images belong to special and project-specific presentations.
IGOTSHOT was launched in 2019 as Campos Viola's platform for event reportage and long-term documentation. Michael Campos Viola has been documenting since 1999 and now works as a self-employed artist under section 18 of the German Income Tax Act (EStG); he carries out many projects on a voluntary basis.
IGOTSHOT documents cultural projects including the “Stop Bombing Civilians” graffiti action, in which Handicap International was involved; “Bildwerk Olympia S-Bahn”; the Pixelstick light and hologram installation based on images of the Alte Münze for the “50 Years of Monument Preservation in Bavaria” Denkmalsommer; and the live lenticular portraits for “Mind the Gap! Art & Beat Revised” at the Museum for Concrete Art in Ingolstadt. It also presents the Gilching Art and Culture Week (KuKuWo) as a Lifetime archive covering the 2017–2025 editions. Campos Viola's wider documented body of work additionally includes a film contribution to “DENKRAUM DEUTSCHLAND 2024 – Du bist gefragt” at the Pinakothek der Moderne; this project currently has no dedicated IGOTSHOT gallery.
IGOTSHOT Lifetime is a set of long-term archives for recurring cultural events. The main example is the Kunst- und Kulturwoche Gilching (KuKuWo), whose editions KuKuWo 17 to KuKuWo 25 are archived as individual mini-publications. Hub: /en/igotshot-lifetime/gilching.
Project partners and supporters include the municipalities of Emmering and Gilching.
