100 Years of FC Emmering – A Celebration Full of Memories
From 20 to 22 June 2025, FC Emmering looked back on a century of club history. For three days, there was celebration, laughter, sports and shared memories. People from Emmering and beyond came together to honour this remarkable milestone – with heart, passion and a strong sense of community.
A Special Kick-off on Friday Evening
The anniversary weekend started emotionally and entertainingly. Early in the evening, the area around the pitch filled up. The charity match between FC Emmering and the FC Sternstunden selection was not only a sporting highlight, but also for a good cause. At half-time, Brucker Werkstatt offered a creative interlude – and when Mayor Floerecke took the goalkeeper's position in the penalty shootout, excitement and joy could be felt across all generations.
Saturday – A Day of Encounters
Saturday was marked by meetings, conversations and sports. A youth tournament opened the day, showing the vibrancy of the club’s youth work. Representatives from sports, the local council and the district attended the official welcome – all highlighting the club’s importance to the community of Emmering.
A particularly inspiring moment was the discussion with former professional player Manfred Schwabl. The conversation touched on football, values and solidarity. In the afternoon, the FC Emmering first team played Unterhaching, creating a true stadium atmosphere.
In the evening, the bar opened and the celebrations continued with dancing and laughter. The band Original Fremdgänger ensured a lively atmosphere while children played and families enjoyed the culinary offerings. It was an evening to remember.
Sunday – A Calm and Festive Conclusion
On Sunday morning, many gathered for an ecumenical church service on the club grounds. It was a moment of reflection and gratitude – for the club’s history, the commitment of its members and the community built over the decades. The traditional white sausage breakfast that followed brought the festivities to a gentle close. Stories were exchanged, new connections formed, and saying goodbye was visibly hard for many.
