Festival cut (27 min): 40 years of passion, one band – a life in time.
Festival cut for cinemas and festivals: a poetic portrait of endurance, community and the art of bringing people together.
Interviews across generations, concert highlights, rehearsal life and Mike’s cycling rituals paint a picture of leadership with heart. The focus is on the 27-minute festival cut – compact, rhythmic, clearly told. The anniversary film with congratulations and extended memories remains available as a bonus.
The idea grew during the 40th anniversary tour in 2024. Filming locations include Munich (Long Night of Music, Giesinger Platz, 70th birthday), Schönberg (castle courtyard), Homburg (jazz brunch, castle tour), Alteglofsheim (workshop) and the major anniversary concert. The dramaturgy follows the motif “drive – distance – moving on”.
Shot in 4K at 24fps, 16:9. Multicam interviews (FX6/FX3, XEEN primes), multi-camera concert coverage, atmospheric inserts. Post-production in DaVinci Resolve Studio (Voice Isolation, Magic Mask, SuperScale); audio with DPA lavs & Sound Devices 32-bit float.
A gift film with congratulations, longer memories, additional anecdotes, and more personal moments.
Bonus version as a gift film: focus on congratulations, longer memories and personal moments – separate from the 27-minute festival cut.

Live energy meets essay: cycling sequences as a metaphor for rhythm and endurance; “Amazing Grace” as ritual and collective breath. Finale with “Beyond the horizon, it continues”. Festival cut condensed to 27 minutes – the anniversary film with congratulations remains a bonus.
